BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Effective Date: August 1, 2025

Each participant must agree to the following terms and conditions to participate in our tours:

1. Physical Activity & Travel Conditions

I understand that this adventure will include long drives, hikes on uneven and possibly steep or slippery surfaces, cold or hot weather, dust, dirt, sand, riding on camels, avoiding drinking tap water, climbing stairs, and some facilities that may be more primitive than what is common in the United States.

I confirm that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in this trip and accept responsibility for assessing my own fitness and readiness.

2. Assumption of Risk, Travel Realities & Required Insurance

I understand that international travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: changes in airline schedules, lost or stolen property, illness, accidents, political unrest, natural disasters, or acts of terrorism.

I acknowledge that Take A Better Trip, Sarah Medearis, and/or Houssin Ait M’Hand are not responsible for providing medical care, travel insurance, trip interruption coverage, or emergency evacuation services unless specifically stated in writing.

I understand and agree that comprehensive travel insurance is required to participate in this trip. This insurance must include coverage for:

• Emergency medical expenses
• Emergency evacuation and repatriation
• Trip cancellation and interruption

I confirm that I am solely responsible for purchasing and maintaining appropriate travel insurance coverage for the duration of the trip.

I accept full responsibility for my participation and for any expenses, losses, injuries, or damages that may occur during or after the trip.

3. Personal Data & Information Sharing

I understand that Take A Better Trip will collect and use certain personal information (such as passport details, date of birth, and contact information) for the purpose of booking travel and complying with government security requirements.

My information will only be shared with hotels, insurance providers, and government agencies as necessary to complete bookings and ensure compliance.

I understand that while Take A Better Trip takes reasonable and compliant steps to protect my personal data, it cannot guarantee protection against unauthorized access, especially when information is transmitted to service providers outside the United States.

4. Photo & Video Release

I grant permission to Take A Better Trip, Sarah Medearis, Houssin Ait M’Hand, and other TABT representatives to use photographs or video recordings that include my image, voice, or likeness for marketing and promotional purposes on websites and social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X (Twitter), without compensation.

5. Release of Liability

I release and hold harmless Take A Better Trip, its employees, partners, and agents from any liability for injury, loss, delay, or damage to myself or my property, except where caused by the company’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.

6. Guest Conduct, Professional Boundaries & Right to Remove

I understand that this is a group travel experience requiring mutual respect, appropriate conduct, and cooperation at all times.

I agree to behave respectfully toward fellow participants, guides, drivers, accommodations staff, and all representatives of Take A Better Trip.

I understand and agree that:

• Romantic or sexual advances, relationships, or intimate behavior between guests and TABT guides, drivers, staff, partners, or representatives are strictly prohibited during the trip.
• Harassment, unwanted attention, inappropriate comments, or behavior of a sexual, romantic, aggressive, or discriminatory nature will not be tolerated.
• Illegal drug use, reckless intoxication, or illegal activity of any kind is prohibited.
• Behavior that endangers the safety, wellbeing, or experience of others, or that disrupts the group experience, is prohibited.

Take A Better Trip reserves the absolute right, at its sole discretion, to remove any participant from the trip at any time if their behavior is deemed unsafe, inappropriate, illegal, disruptive, or in violation of these standards.

If I am removed from the trip for behavioral reasons:
• I will not be entitled to any refund.
• I will be responsible for my own transportation, accommodations, and any related costs from that point forward.

7. Health, Medical Responsibility

I understand that Take A Better Trip is not a medical provider and cannot guarantee access to medical facilities or services during the trip.

I confirm that:
• I am responsible for consulting a physician regarding my fitness for travel.
• I will carry any required medications and medical supplies.

I accept full responsibility for any medical expenses incurred during or after the trip.

8. Itinerary Flexibility & Trip Authority

I understand that travel in Morocco and other international destinations can be unpredictable.

I acknowledge that Take A Better Trip may need to modify the itinerary due to weather, road conditions, safety concerns, operational requirements, government restrictions, or unforeseen circumstances.

I agree that:
• Such changes do not constitute a breach of contract.
• No refunds will be issued for itinerary changes beyond the company’s control.
• The trip leader’s decisions regarding safety, logistics, and group wellbeing are final.
