BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Each participant must agree to the following terms and conditions to participate in our tours.

1. Physical Activity & Travel Conditions

I understand that this adventure will include long drives, hikes on uneven and possibly steep or slippery surfaces, cold or hot weather, dust, dirt, sand, riding on camels, avoiding drinking tap water, climbing stairs, and some facilities that may be more primitive than what is common in the United States.

I confirm that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in this trip and accept responsibility for assessing my own fitness and readiness.

2. Assumption of Risk, Travel Realities & Required Insurance

I understand that international travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: changes in airline schedules, lost or stolen property, illness, accidents, political unrest, natural disasters, or acts of terrorism.

I acknowledge that Take A Better Trip, Sarah Medearis, Houssin Ait M'Hand, and any other representatives or partners of TABT are not responsible for providing medical care, travel insurance, trip interruption coverage, or emergency evacuation services unless specifically stated in writing.

I understand and agree that comprehensive travel insurance is required to participate in this trip. This insurance must include coverage for:

Emergency medical expenses

Emergency evacuation and repatriation

Trip cancellation and interruption

I confirm that I am solely responsible for purchasing and maintaining appropriate travel insurance coverage for the duration of the trip.

I accept full responsibility for my participation and for any expenses, losses, injuries, or damages that may occur during or after the trip.

3. Passport, Visa & Travel Documentation

I confirm that I am solely responsible for obtaining and carrying a valid passport, with at least six months of validity remaining beyond my planned return date, and for confirming and obtaining any visa or entry requirements for Morocco and any connecting countries on my itinerary.

I understand that Take A Better Trip is not responsible for denied entry, missed travel, or any related costs resulting from expired, invalid, or insufficient travel documentation.

4. Airfare & Flight Arrangements

I understand that airfare is not included in my trip price unless specifically stated in writing, and that I am solely responsible for booking my own flights to arrive in time for the trip's scheduled start and to depart after its scheduled end.

I understand that Take A Better Trip is not responsible for airline schedule changes, delays, cancellations, missed connections, or any related costs, and that these risks are part of what my required travel insurance (Section 2) should cover.

5. Payment Terms

I understand that bookings made 45 or more days before my trip’s start date require a deposit of 50% of the trip price, due at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is due 45 days before my trip’s start date. If my balance is not received by then, my booking will be treated as a cancellation under Section 6. I am responsible for keeping track of these dates and making timely payments.

I understand that for bookings made fewer than 45 days before my trip’s start date, or when the booking site requires full payment upon booking, full payment is due at the time of booking.

I understand that all major credit cards are accepted, that payment by PayPal is preferred when available, and that all prices are listed and charged in U.S. dollars.

6. Cancellation Policy

I understand that cancellations must be sent to TABT in writing by email and take effect on the date TABT receives them.

I understand that my payments go out to TABT’s partners to reserve transport, lodging, and experiences, and that my refund or credit depends on how far from my trip’s start date I cancel.

2026 departures:

~ 90 days or more before departure: full refund (100%)

~ 45 to 89 days before departure: 50% refund

~ Inside 45 days before departure: no refund available

2027 departures (percentages refer to the trip price):

~ 90 days or more before departure: full refund of all payments

~ 45 to 89 days before departure: 50% of the trip price is kept as a travel credit; anything paid beyond that is refunded

~ Inside 45 days before departure: no refund

I understand that if my 2027 balance is not received 45 days before departure, my booking will be treated as a cancellation and the 50% credit above applies.

I understand that a travel credit may be used toward any future TABT departure within 12 months of the cancellation date, at the price in effect when I rebook.

I understand that if I cancel inside 45 days, I may transfer my spot to a friend. For 2026 departures, TABT may also offer a voucher toward a future trip, to be used within 12 months. For 2027 departures, if TABT is able to fill my spot, TABT will issue a travel credit for what I paid, less any costs TABT cannot recover.

7. Trip Cancellation by Take A Better Trip

I understand that Take A Better Trip may occasionally need to cancel a scheduled departure due to safety concerns, insufficient enrollment, or other operational reasons.

If Take A Better Trip cancels a trip for these reasons, I will receive, at my choice, either a full refund of all payments made or the option to transfer my payment toward a future departure at no additional cost.

I understand that Take A Better Trip is not responsible for any additional costs I may incur as a result of such a cancellation, including but not limited to airfare, visa fees, or pre-trip travel insurance premiums, and that this is a further reason comprehensive travel insurance (Section 2) is required.

8. Personal Data & Information Sharing

I understand that Take A Better Trip will collect and use certain personal information (such as passport details, date of birth, and contact information) for the purpose of booking travel and complying with government security requirements.

My information will only be shared with hotels, insurance providers, and government agencies as necessary to complete bookings and ensure compliance.

I understand that while Take A Better Trip takes reasonable and compliant steps to protect my personal data, it cannot guarantee protection against unauthorized access, especially when information is transmitted to service providers outside the United States.

9. Photo & Video Release

I grant permission to Take A Better Trip, Sarah Medearis, Houssin Ait M'Hand, and other TABT representatives to use photographs or video recordings that include my image, voice, or likeness for marketing and promotional purposes, on websites and social media platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X/Twitter) as well as in print and other promotional materials, without compensation.

I understand this permission is worldwide and ongoing, with no fixed expiration, unless I notify Take A Better Trip in writing before my trip begins that I do not consent to this use.

10. Release of Liability

I release and hold harmless Take A Better Trip, its employees, partners, and agents from any liability for injury, loss, delay, or damage to myself or my property, except where caused by the company's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

11. Guest Conduct, Professional Boundaries & Right to Remove

I understand that this is a group travel experience requiring mutual respect, appropriate conduct, and cooperation at all times.

I agree to behave respectfully toward fellow participants, guides, drivers, accommodations staff, and all representatives of Take A Better Trip.

I understand and agree that:

Romantic or sexual advances, relationships, or intimate behavior between guests and TABT guides, drivers, staff, partners, or representatives are strictly prohibited during the trip.

Harassment, unwanted attention, inappropriate comments, or behavior of a sexual, romantic, aggressive, or discriminatory nature will not be tolerated.

Illegal drug use, reckless intoxication, or illegal activity of any kind is prohibited.

Behavior that endangers the safety, wellbeing, or experience of others, or that disrupts the group experience, is prohibited.

Take A Better Trip reserves the absolute right, at its sole discretion, to remove any participant from the trip at any time if their behavior is deemed unsafe, inappropriate, illegal, disruptive, or in violation of these standards.

If I am removed from the trip for behavioral reasons:

I will not be entitled to any refund.

I will be responsible for my own transportation, accommodations, and any related costs from that point forward.

12. Health, Medical Responsibility

I understand that Take A Better Trip is not a medical provider and cannot guarantee access to medical facilities or services during the trip.

I confirm that:

I am responsible for consulting a physician regarding my fitness for travel.

I will carry any required medications and medical supplies.

I accept full responsibility for any medical expenses incurred during or after the trip.

13. Minors & Age Policy

The following minimum age requirements apply, based on trip type:

Trips explicitly labeled as "Family" trips: participants must be at least 10 years of age by the trip's start date.

All other trips: participants must be at least 13 years of age by the trip's start date.

For any minor traveling on any trip:

Traveling with their parent or legal guardian: The traveling parent or legal guardian affirms at the time of booking that they are the minor's parent or legal guardian and that they agree to these Terms & Conditions on the minor's behalf.

Traveling with an adult other than their parent or legal guardian: Take A Better Trip requires (a) a signed consent form and (b) a direct email from the parent or legal guardian to Take A Better Trip, granting permission for the minor to travel with that specific adult and with Take A Better Trip.

14. Itinerary Flexibility & Trip Authority

I understand that travel in Morocco and other international destinations can be unpredictable.

I acknowledge that Take A Better Trip may need to modify the itinerary due to weather, road conditions, safety concerns, operational requirements, government restrictions, or unforeseen circumstances.

I agree that:

Such changes do not constitute a breach of contract.

No refunds will be issued for itinerary changes beyond the company's control.

The trip leader's decisions regarding safety, logistics, and group wellbeing are final.

15. Changes to These Terms

Take A Better Trip may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version of these Terms in effect at the time of your booking will govern your trip.

16. Agreement

By proceeding with your booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
